Schleich Wild Life Hippopotamus (SC14938)
Schleich Wild Life Hippopotamus (SC14938)
Are there hippos here? At first glance, there is nothing to see, but look closely and only the small ears and nostrils emerge from the water. The hippopotamus dozes there with relish to cool down from the hot African sun. Because of the heat, this grey giant prefers spending its time in the water, moving almost weightlessly despite its massive body. It comes ashore only at night to graze on a meadow, trudging around with its heavy body on short legs. However, it should not be underestimated, as the hippopotamus can pick up quite a bit of speed on land once it gets moving. A wonderful wild animal addition to any Schleich Wild Life collection.
