Tanjiro Kamado is a member of the Demon Slayer Corps. He became a Demon Slayer to find a way to turn his sister, Nezuko, back into a human and to hunt demons. He later vowed to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, so that others would not suffer the same fate as his family. Before becoming a Demon Slayer, Tanjiro worked making and selling charcoal. After Muzan attacked his family, his mother and younger siblings were killed, while Nezuko was transformed into a demon. Only Tanjiro and Nezuko survived.
